MRC aslo dominated most of the decade of the 1970's to 1980's. In this picture we see one of the most emblematic Crews of this era. The heirachy of the Camilleri brothers Richard and Julio joined by Johnny Gonzalez and Alfred Lavagna came of age and together with the Rowing skills and the sheer physical power continously filled MRC's Silverware Cabinet like a Popcorn machine.

Seventies "ACE" Crew who won great number of Races, set up standards and broke many records. The sheer power of the Camilleri brothers Richard and Julio, also complemented by the massive strength on Johnny Gonzalez and the techinques of Douglas Rodriguez. Here posing once again with silverware at the old Calpe Rowing Club. One cannot forget Eugene Coitiño a great cox for a great era.

Another historical day for MRC ad indeed for Rowing history in Gibraltar. MRC's newly acquired state of the art Outrigger, SPRAY. We can see the late Bishop Rapallo doing thr religious honours closely watched by the then President of the club Mr Angelin de Las Heras, Sir John Grandy Governor of Gibraltar and Douglas Rodriguez Club Captain

Another blessing and launch took place during the 1980's. FOAM was purchased from Italian manufacturers Cantieri Donoratico Navale for the price of approximately £ 9,000 and it was then the pride and joy of the Club
