The Porral Challenge Cup like in nowadays, was an important Regatta. Calpe Rowing Club's second string " Malaga " brought of a fine victory to win the Porral's Cup from MRC. MRC was very unlucky to lose the services of their Bow L.V. Gonzalez at the last moment and his place was taken by T.Smith. Neverthless an excellent perfomance was conducted by Mr Smith who was congratulated by MRC's President Mr H.F. Cardona OBE JP for putting up a good show.
